Expectations

As some may already know, the randomizer in TDS deals the player a set of all 7 pieces and repeats.ex. S,T,I,J,O,L,Z repeat set I,J,O,T,S,Z,L repeat set etc.
This knowledge is the key to breaking the barrier for many players under 7,000 (If you're above 7500, learn to pay attention to the preview instead of the playfield).
Expectation connects to many elements in TDS. I'm just going to outline some possible advantages in this blog entry.
- Allows for piece placement and structure that seem awkward (ex. areas where only T,S, and/or Z pieces can fit.)
- Lessens overstacking
- Determine the probability of an I piece coming along
- Aides in the set-up of T-spins, especially T-spin doubles
If I have time, I'll go into more detail in the next entry.
